www.sintercom.org/makan calls themselves "Singapore's most popular and comprehensive food site". Well, at least they have a colourful homepage and a clean design.

Singapore Feasting has well-written and informative articles on the local food scene.

Cold Storage is one of Singapore's biggest supermarket chains, and on their website, you can even check out their on-line grocery ordering service.

The AsiaOne Commerce site houses a comprehensive selection of virtual stores in Singapore.

Consumer Association of Singapore - what consumer rights you have and what to do if they are not met.

The Computer Book Centre's homepage reflects it's well-stocked physical store at Funan Centre.

On-line Yellow Pages, the electronic version of that trusty old tome.

The Singapore Golden Circle Programme recognises and rewards local companies and retailers who have achieved excellence in the tourist industry.

Helpful organizations

The New Mothers' Support Group is a volunteer organisation for Mums and Dads of young children, new or old to Singapore. Our objectives are to provide an opportunity for parents to get together and share experiences of raising young children in Singapore and to provide information by professional speakers in the areas of pregnancy, postnatal care and all other matters concerning the raising of young children.

The Friend of the Museum is are a non-profit group that supports the National Heritage Board of Singapore. They provide docent training as well as free day and evening lectures. FOM provides a great way to get involved in the culture of Singapore and of South East Asia while meeting new friends.
