This restaurant was voted the "Best Dining Experience" in 1998 at the Singapore Tourism Awards and at every turn of your eye you will understand why. Besides the top-notch service and the grandly elegant surroundings the food is exquisitely created and finished. Traditional delicacies like giant prawns with salad cream, the herbal broth Buddha jumps over the wall, abalone and shark’s fin are all outstanding examples, and the gold chopsticks that pick up these precious morsels don’t hurt either. Traditional Chinese food doesn’t get much better than this.

This modern looking place and 60-seater restaurant is dramatically draped in red because its owner, Allan Chai, the Singapore Cheongsam King himself, loves the colour. Applying his usual dedication to his tasks he has created a stunning but simple interior with artfully presented dishes and has perfected the Sichuan way of cooking through long hours of research in the kitchen.

Chef Chung Ho Shi hails from Hong Kong, and has captured the city’s dynamism by inventing new delicacies with twists from the old - sample his Sharksfin Bone soup or his Chicken Pot fish for a taste of cuisinal creativity. Oh and the staff is simply outstanding.
