Night Life in Singapore - Elsewhere

Bar Savanh
49 Club Street, Tel: 6323-7347
Read the review here!

Zouk Club
17 Jiak Kim Street - off Kim Seng Rd, Tel: 6738-2988
Anyone who is someone in Singapore has been to Zouk. The club's been around for 7 years and has regularly been named by international publications as one of the best clubs in Asia, if not anywhere. Besides the main discotheque, there is a wine bar and two sister clubs, Phuture and Velvet Underground. Zouk also hosts guest international DJs and acts like Bjork and Massive Attack. You can also check out their cool homepage.

Area 22
73 Dunlop Street, Tel: 69310-7759
New place that's been getting a lot of attention. Located in a shophouse off Little India, this place has the feel of an underground club. Closed on Sundays, Mondays and Tuesdays. Visit their homepage

Liquid Room
71 Bussorah Street, Tel: 6299-0966
Located near Area 22, Liquid Room is home to mostly young professionals who come here not to chill out, but to dance and enjoy the cyber-influenced decor. Expect progressive dance music (read: no words, just lots of beats) and trendy, informal dressing.

Sunset Bay
60 Siloso Beach Walk, Sentosa, Tel: 6275-0668
You'll have to travel to Sentosa island to get to this beach-front pub. It's no secret that expats flock there because of the bikini-clad local women. Infamous for its regular foam parties where everyone gets wet and wild.

Charlie's Corner
#01-8, Blk 2 Changi Village, Tel: 6542-0867
An institution in Singapore, and definitely well worth the trip to the Eastern end of the island. Lots of surf food, cold beers, tiny chairs and tables, torchlights and airplanes roaring overhead. You have to experience it for yourself. Closed on weekends.

La Cave A Win
#01-02 Paramount Building, 9 Portchester Ave (Serangoon Gardens Village), Tel: 6284-2833
A new wine bar away from the normal night life areas.
Has: traditional French wine cellar decor

Chaplin's
17 Lorong Liput, Holland Village, Tel: 6468-4155
Has: young crowd, 80s music
Open: Sun-Thu 6pm to 1am, Fri-Sat 6pm to 2am

Wala Wala
