All mail in Singapore is usually delivered by the next working day at some time in early to late afternoon --through a network of more than 1,300 postal outlets around the island. Singapore uses a six-digit postal code. The basic mail service is run by Singapore Post (SP), a subsidiary of Singapore Telecom. SP has the exclusive right to provide basic mail service (letters and postcards) till year 2007. Express services (small packets, printed papers and parcels) have been liberalised, and many courier companies offer such services to local and international destinations.
