I saw the one at Ikea which was made with aluminium for the pot and stone for the cover. Not what I want.

I want to get a clay or ceramic tagine. Anyone know where to get one?

Thanks.

Incredibly, I saw some at ikea. I *think* they are ceramic. Try their kitchenware department.

Loved the pottery tagines available in France but could not bring on back with me as too heavy.  Aluminium base is a waste of time.  Tagine cooking is all about the slow simmer which aluminium cannot do.
I wanted an Emile Henry but oh so expensive in France.
Last weekend went to Tangs and bought a Le Crueset at 20% off - worked out cheaper than the EH in France.  Cast Iron base with ceramic top.
Have used it three time in the past week and the results are awesome.  Only problem is that they are very messy with lots of over flow of juices but well worth the effort.
Also try Sia Huat in Temple Street

Be mindful of the Moroccan tagines - last time I was home there was a recall of this product due to the excessive lead content! Le Crueset sounds the better option..

Hi

I am not sure if this post still valid.

I just found a shop selling tagine in Singapore and want to share with all of you here

Its at Alexandra Central Mall (next to Ikea)
The shop is called Maghrebi by Sheenaz Fazreen

I went there last week with my family and saw beautiful Moroccan collections there. Right from ceramic and clay tagines to teaglasses and other moroccan decorative ceramic plates . Awesome collections. I am a fan of morroccan item and i really love their collection

Check it out
