The phrase started to get into me, "Talk to the hand, cos' the face ain't speaking".   Very handy phrase, indeed.

However, I wonder what series it was originated from?

Actually it pre-dated Jerry Springer and came from Damon Wayans on the Fox (America) skit-sitcom In Living Color. In one recurring skit, he was a flamboyant movie reviewer, a la Siskel & Ebert, and when he disagreed, he would come up with lines such as that.
Btw, along with the Wayans brothers, that show also launched Jim Carrey's career as well as J.Lo, who was one of the Fly Girlz (dancers during segment breaks).

Austin Powers - Dr. Evil.  At least that's where I heard it first.

I use the phrase frequently during the staff meetings. Since all my colleages are Singaporean - half laugh and half don't. Gee wonder why they stopped inviting me to those meetings?

To answer your question:

Yes in spirit. Yes in body.

But really am Canadian. But really a gay man trapped inside a woman's body.
