No, I'm not in anyway related to the producer of this film.  Just thought that this is a good made-in-sg movie, by far the best I've seen.  So here I am recommending this to all of you.  Though it is in Mandarin, there are English subtitles.  If you can find a local Chinese to go with, that will be good, otherwise you can still understand it.

Maybe those who have seen it would like to share their thoughts here.

have heard and read nothing but good things about it.
it might be hard for expats without much singapore background to understand it though, since they won't be able relate to the local issues and culture.

It was a great movie, I was completely surprised by it... Wonderful script, good acting especially by 2 of the 3 kids, good film with many subtle but deep emotional undercurrents...

I do think that expats should watch this one... at the end of the day, if we are in Singapore, we should always yearn to learn about the local culture (not just eating the food, mate!) and understand the feelings of the locals, but it's hard to put aside one's pride.
