Does anyone know of a good place for a steamboat dinner in S'pore?

(For those of you who offered breakfast suggestions, yes, I have the same friends in town, and no, we are not just spending our days eating!! Although it IS the holidays and the eating does figure prominently.....)

Thanks for the help!

House of Mao does a good steamboat.  Afterwards you can take them to Muddy Murphy's below.

There are some cheaper places, Tiong Bahru food courst for one, but I would expect your guests may appreciated some air con ambience??

Yes, aircon=good - my guests have already had enough of my steamy flat! (Big contrast from winter back home.) Thanks for the suggestion.

There's this KOKA chain of Thai steamboat. Aircon environment and nice food.

I would also recommend this other one, 'cept I cannot recall the name. It's next to Tanglin mall... Chinese... Nice spicey steamboat.

The Coca chain around town is supposed to be ok, but I would stay away from Chong Qing the one in Tanglin Shopping Centre, a bit overrated.

Try the 'San Xia' steamboat restaurant on the first level of Lucky Plaza. It is marvelous.
