I need to buy a good stroller / pram for my baby - something durable which can be used from birth onwards.
I have looked at various shops, but the huge range baffles me.
We don't have a car, so are hugely dependant on MRT and buses - hence, I definitely need something lightweight.
Any suggestions as to good brands and shops would be very welcome.
Thanks!

there is a bycicle (u heard rigth!!) shop in selegie center when driving from orchard road to little india about 200m after orchard road . they sell pram from APRICA, its japanese , very expensive ($400+), extra lightweigth, easy to fold , all the things you need. we have ours now for 6 years, our 2nd child is using it AND we went to KL last year by plane, it got damaged by the airline and they paid $200 for it....
don't go for the JLittle ot others crap, you'll end up buying a 2nd one in a year
there is also a good shoop in ubi industrial estate called: babyland, they also have a huge variety (more european - american styles )
good luck

If price is not an issue, do choose an Aprica, considering that you will need a "one-hand" closure system that stands upright when closed.  One hand closure system is important to you because you need to be able to shut your pram with one hand and the other holding your baby when you go up / down the escalators at MRT stations or when boarding MRT trains or buses.

It is the lightest in the market.  The good features of an Aprica is patented, thought you should know.  You pay for good quality.  It is known to be the Rolls Royce for light weight prams!  You will not regret it.  Robinsons at Centre Point has the largest range of Aprica's.

The one down from Aprica would either be Combi or Lucky Baby.
