why doesn't the East Coast park have a playground?  the only one I've ever found is the one by McDonalds.  I think it could do with at least 3 play areas dotted along it.  does anyone know how we can contact them about it and find out if they have any plans to put one in?

No plans for children's playground as yet.  The open areas are used by many families who spread their picnic mats as well as teenagers who use the open space for games.

The latest news is that there will be a public golf course to the extreme left of East Coast Parkway - nearer to the city, in a couple of years' time.

great, a golf course, that'll be a thrill for about 2% of the population, like we don't have more than enough golf courses already.  considering how 'kid friendly' they claim to be here, they are sadly lacking in play areas for them.
