I attended the St George's Mums and Babes groups with my first child  when he was 3mths old.  He is now 3yrs old.

My second is now 3mths old and I think I'm not eligible to attend the mums & babes group as I'm now a second time mum.  (The group is for new mums or mums who are new to singapore.)

I wonder if there are any other mums like me who has an older kid off to school and would like to do a mums & babes group.

Note I'm not referring to playgroup for toddlers, but a mums and babes group.
And if you've been to the St George's Group, you'd know that they meet weekly.  Mums wld come together for abt 1.5hrs.  The last 20mins is a short session of songs and rhymes which is short enuf and great fun for babies.

Let me know if you are in the same situation as I am and know what I'm referrring to.

Wld be great if we can organise something like that for babies esp. if they are not crawling yet.

I do not have a child attending St. Georges, but a neighbour attends regularly with  her 2 children.  I don't understand why you can't attend with your second child.  My daughter,12, has gone with our neighbour during the summer holidays and has enjoyed attending.  I would attend any way, especially if you & your child enjoy yourselves.

A group from this board are just starting to meet, most of us have other older children and new babies ranging from a few weeks to almost three months.  Email me and I will give you the details - you are more than welcome to join in.

To AnnaBanana...  Don't really know what you are referring to...the St George's Mums & Babes group are for mums and babies.  How is it that your 12 year old attend it during the summer holidays?

In my situation, I am able to attend with my toddler and baby, but i'll be in the toddler group...not the baby group.  I wld like to attend a group for MUMS and BABES...without noisy toddlers running around.  I want to chill out and chat with other mums and hopefully, find a nice friend or two for my baby to play with growing up.

My older boy has two regular playmates, a girl and a boy...all three knew each other from the time they were babies.

I think it's nice that my 2nd child has his own set of friends to hang out with when he's older rather than playing with his brother's friends.

Tunafish, u've got mail.

From what my 12 yr. old tells me, she has sat with a baby while a mother plays/does things with her toddler.  Makes sense to me and besides daughter enjoys being around babies.  I'd rather she do that than sit in front of the TV/computer all day.

Hi 77,

You may like to come along to the New Mothers' Support Group social get-together on Friday (29th).  It's held at St Georges (though we're not associated with the church).  There will be Mums (and maybe Dads) there with babies and young children, so would be a good opportunity to meet other Mums with littles ones the same age as yours.

The social is held from 2.30 - 4.30 in the building off to the left of the church, cost $5.
