My son has been biten by something on his foot and it is swelling up. It is not a mozzie bite, it seems to have a tiny head. He doesn't seem the least bit affected by it, he is still playing and doesn't have a fever but I am worried about the swelling. Any tips would be great. Also does anyone have any idea what it could be?

It could be a mozzie bite --- often times my son gets very swollen areas surrounding mozzie bites. I've taken him to the doctor for it in the past and been given topical antibiotic for it. Guess he's just more sensitive to them than some others are.

It's never a bad idea to check with your doctor when you are uncertain about things like this.

What kind of spider could it be? I don't want to overreact but at the same time I don't want to take chances.
