HI, just want to know how much to pay a paediatrician on a regular visit, i.e. check up..etc..

I also need recommendations of paediatricians that hold clinic around/near the Great World City area. I would appreciate someone who is very patient, very thorough and can be reached anytime. Thanks.

l also live near Great World City and I take my baby to see Dr Belinda Koh at The Child & Allergy Clinic at Mt Elizabeth Medical Centre.  It is only a 5 minute drive from our place.

Belinda is a very patient and friendly paediatrician and my son really likes her.  We previously took him to see Dr Kumar at the Kiddies Clinic at The Paragon in Orchard Road but I didn't find him very helpful.  However, some of my friends have told me that they are very happy with Dr Kumar.  You need to check out a few different doctors and decide for yourself whom you prefer.  They all have different styles and different bedside manners.

The Child & Allergy Clinic is located on the 11th floor of Mt  Elizabeth Medical Centre.  Phone number is 6736 0533.

Hi,

I forgot to mention that Dr Belinda Koh charges around $51.00 for a standard consultation.

I also use The Kiddies' Clinic - they charge $55 or $65 for a consultation depending on which doctor you see.  Also started with Dr Kumar, as he was the one recommended by my gynae, but he always seems to be very busy and I felt a bit rushed through check-ups.  Also there always seems to be a long wait for him.

We now see Dr Kenny Ee, also at Kiddies' Clinic.  (Other people have raved about Dr Siva.)  They are all available by phone outside working hours, which we have had to use on a couple of occasions.

My only issue with Kiddies' Clinic is that they always use Mount E if the child has to be admitted to hospital, and I've not been that impressed with Mount E.  Would be interested if anyone else can recommend a paediatrician that is linked to another hospital.

Hi Rosie, I use dr Ravin, also from Kiddies Clinic, and we have been 3 times to the hospital, but only the 1st one was Mount E. When the Dr felt that they could not perform all the exams my baby needed he took care of finding immediately a place for us at NUH. As a doctor in general i could not recommend him more (even called him a couple of times from Italy!)
