Help...my maid found new work without my knowledge!  She has made over $500 of phone calls and hidden the bills.  She wants to be treated as a "roommate"-moved my things out of a closet to house her things...
She has lied and cheated from Day 1.
Need advice..what agencies do the cancelling of work permits, take to the airport service?

Have you confronted her about the bills and the other issues regarding her deception?

As long as you have her passport, you can cancel her work permit and then you have to pay for her ticket home otherwise you  jeopardise your security bond. If she runs away and you have cancelled her permit, report it to the police straight away (making a police report) she becomes an illegal immigrant and if found is immediately sent back with a police record.

I don't know if agencies offer the service of taking them to the airport/cancelling permit etc  for you without charging you a fee for it.

The other work she has found, is this part time? She can't start a new full time job until you have signed over the transfer papers anyway.

Hope it all works out for you

Good Luck

Regarding Maid Problems:
I am hesitant to cancel wp because I hear that they throw a fit at Changi and then I will have to take them back.  I can always transfer her to this new employer, but I am sure she has lied to them already. If I fill out the transfer paper, do I find out the new employer? Is there a way for the agency to let the new employer know about her? I just want her gone! I have confronted her and she is supposedly paying me back, but then again, I hold the trump ticket right?

The agencies that send them home hold them in detention over night, and they can throw all the tantrums they like, they are gone.  Had to send our first maid home after she got pregnant and lied to us.  Your agency can put you on to these 'repatriation specialists'.  If you can't trust her already, don't let on you will be sending her home or she will do a runner.

it might be cheaper to just transfer her but ethically you wldn't want someone else to go through that *experience*.

besides, how do you know for sure that her new employer is willing to take her on?
you can't be too sure ..

yes, send her back. buy her that one way ticket and get someone (if you feel you can't handle it) to escort her through the gates.
go to MOM at havelock road, show them the ticket (out of s'pore within 7 days) and they will cancel her EP accordingly.

in the meantime, hang onto her passport tightly and watch your possessions.

it's none of your business anymore (hurray!) once she walks through Changi's immigration  glass doors if she decides not to board that plane.
