Hey, why'd they delete my thread on acne?

Anyway, had the test done.  I'm somehow a bit disappointed to find my TSH levels are normal.  What a hypochondriac!  I was convinced I had post partum thyroiditis.  Just got to grin and bear it for a while more.

Thanks anyway.

Bless! You made me laugh.  Be glad that you don't have a thyroid problem but I know what you mean when you have an issue and you think you hit the nail on the head!

Did the Doctor make any other suggestions as to what the problem might be?

Also this is something I have recently heard about.  Apparenty the pollution here in Singapore is really bad and that does have quite an effect on one's skin.  Since being here (5 months) I have broken out in spots on my face and just thought I was going through a second adolescence (how scary).  Went home to London for a week and I swear to God within 3 days my skin had cleared up totally and I was back to clear face!  Maybe that has something to do with it?  Depends how long you've been here I suppose.

OR (I really should stop watching all these medical dramas) depending on how long ago you had the baby (I think you said several months) you may still be quite hormonal and that is what is causing some eruptions?

That is my medical opinion for what it's worth (my degree is in business management! :-)

Good luck.

I know.  I was so sure!  I guess I should be thankful and relieved that it's not my thyroid.  Maybe it's the expense of the test that's ****ling me.  Doc reckons it's my hormones out of balance as I'm still b'feeding and that they should settle down when I stop.  DD's 5 mths old.

I've heard the same about pollution.  We've been here 2 years so not sure if it could be aggravating the problem.  Funny you should mention your trip to UK.  I'm going back next week!  Fingers crossed the coastal air will clear up my spots.

Anyway, Dr Moosmum, thank you for the free consultation!
