Little ones dropping stink bombs are very common.  Leave them alone, it will get better.

It's the bowel movements you need to be concerned about.  Is your baby on formula milk?

when my son was a baby his tummy looked bloated and stretched, so  my grandmother said that during her time, they rubbed aceite de manzanilla, i don't know if they have it here.  it is color green oil, warm but not hot when very gently rubbed after feeding.  it worked for us.  i seldom us it now, but i still do when my son or myself has a tummy ache.
you probably need to burp your son longer, put his head on your shoulder and gently rub his back. hope this helps.

I am a mother of 3 kids, coming to 4. Inorder to avoid my kids from having too much gas, I gave all of them Gripewater. You can find it in any sinseh shop in singapore. A small teaspoon once a day is good enough for the baby. It will prevent him from getting colic and having too much gas in his tummy.

if you're breastfeeding on demand, it may be that he's getting a lot of the foremilk and not the rich hindmilk, which can lead to lots of gas and 'explosive' bowel movements (the kind that go all over the wall!).  So try to extend the time between feeds to around 2 hours and always start on the same breast that he last fed on to ensure that he is getting to the hindmilk.

My second one got this problem, for sure it caused her discomfort and probably some pain but I was told by the doc that there wasn't to worry for first 2 months, and indeed it disappeared.
