Any ideas what to buy a little girl for her 1st birthday. She seems tohav a lot of toys already. I was thinking of a book. Can anyone recommend a good book for a one year old? Or other appropriate gift?

The Karen Katz books are all pretty good, Where is Baby's Belly Button is a popular one. Also any board books with big pictures are great

I bought the Sasha in Singapore series for a friend's daughter.  It has a nice storyline and pictures-great Singapore souvenier.

Agree with the above poster as well-the Counting Kisses book by Katz is especially popular with my daughter.

Hi!

Would love to get the Karen Katz books for my one year old. Are they available in Singapore? Where can I get hold of them?
Thanks

Our little boy just turned 1 and of his presents books are a real winner - esp the Eric Carle illustrated ones which are great.  But watch out for what they've already got - we got given 3 copies of the Hungry Caterpillar and we'd already got one!!

The other thing he got which was cool was one of the Poncho towels - really fun and especially great in this climate with all the swimming we do.  I've seen them in the swimming shop in the basement of Tanglin Mall.

My Aunt always gave us 30 year t-bonds.  You'd be surprised how the interest adds up. Kids have way too many toys these days.

my girls love Goodnight Moon. Absolute all time favourite for both of them. Got it at Kino and also Tango Mango at Tanglin.
