Oh dear, never thought a quetion on custard would end up in an argument about grammar, Singapore must be a really boring place for a lot of people....

Anyway, thanks for some of the advice I think, most of which I had tried at some point.  I did go and have a think about what she did and didn't like and like one of the posts, my baby loves the food I am eating, hates a spoon (unless it has custard on it) and loves eating with her fingers (or mine), so luch today consisted of small pieces of mango and watermelon, carrot sticks, cottage cheese and papaya and pear puree.  I got her a nice new bight spoon and she ate the lot...not a jar of custard in sight.  Dinner was a similar success...lets see if she is still fooled tomorrow.

Btw, thanks for the suggestion of feeding from the jar, but I hardly ever feed directly from the jar unless I am travelling as she hardly every has a whole jar and would be biffing heaps.  Also, my baby does not like banana either (unless I am having one).  Strange, gotta be one of my fav fruits!

Having read the whole thread with interest. I'd just like to add that one is perfectly at liberty to be as ungrammatical as one wishes.Go ahead. Say "fruits" and "fishes". You are basically showing yourselves to be less well educated!

Have a nice day.

"...showing yourself to be less well educated".

As opposed to showing yourself to be rude, intolerant, and up yourself?

when you were at school and your English teacher explained how you were making gramatical errors, did you accuse him or her of being rude, intolerant and up themselves?  No, so don't do it here.  Just accept that you seem poorly educated and leave it at that.  Stop trying to b@stardise the English language.
