The only one I can find is in Ikea and I don't really like it.  Has anyone seen changing tables around? Thanks!

Kiddy Palace or Mothercare or First Few Years also have these, but I don't bother to buy as you will probably use them for less than 1 year.

Motherswork at Great World have a couple. They are quite "comprehensive", with a top that comes off to reveal a bath etc.

Personally, I think a nice chest of drawers/dresser works well as a change table (at waist height so you don't need to bend over). You can get nice plastic padded change mats from Mothercare. As mentioned, they are only used for a year, and many mothers find that active, wriggly babies are more easily changed on the floor.

Robinsons ....

If your nursery is big, sometimes a changing table is good to so-called FILL the room.  Otherwise, you just need to ensure that you have a place preferably where you can sit down, to change your baby.

What I did in my case was to place a waterproof changing mat permanently on my huge ottoman in the bedroom, and I sit on the sofa to change my son's diaper.

I decided against a changing table because I too thought its lifespan is way too short to spend that couple of hundred bucks.

We also looked into this.

Went to 2 big places in UBI - 2 floors each - full of baby things.

Was about to buy one reluctantly at %399 - all white plastic one from shop at UBI- and then went to Babyasia in Forum Galleria office block and bought something that save me $350.
Bought this changing mat which has a hard stiff backing that spans across the cot so at night.
Its important that when we doing the changing we don't bend our backs otherwise it gets very tiring - so having a higher level is crucial.

Cheers

Here is what we did....We bought a nice chest of drawers that I put the changing mat, nappies and creams etc on top of.
( I have his clothes in it as well obviously)  I just checked the height would work for me before we bought it. I still change my 19 month old on it now, and soon (I hope) he will have a nice chest of drawers minus the mat and nappies, and we didn't spend a huge amount on something that we didn't really feel was a 'must have'.
