Hi!

I would like to put one of those poster things on the wall which has a scale (in cm!) and place to write small notes on which day I measured him and so on.

Does anyone understand what I mean? and have you seen it somewhere to buy?

I guess I could glue a lot of paper together, but I don't think it will look that nice... perhaps in a bit sturdier paper?

I got a wooden one from motherswork at gwc.  They have the paper/card ones at kidsmall.

I think the card ones might be a bit wider.  I'm just jotting down the date at whatever height, so yeah, enough room for that.  The wooden one might last longer if your little one likes to tear things down.    I reckon mine's about 10cm wide (she's sleeping so can't check now) and the card one's probably >15cm.

Hope that helps.

Aasa,

Yes, you can make marks on a wooden one.  When my oldest was a baby, we made our own.  Cut a giraffe shape out of wood, then painted it and added the measurement markings.  We used a permanant marker to note the heights.  Worked nicely.
