Thinking about getting a car. Totally clueless as to the practicalities of baby car seats - is having a kiddy seat in the back of a 3-door really awkward or is it managable?

We had a 5 door car and whenever I had lifts off people with 3 door cars, it was a real pain to struggle in and out with a baby seat.  My kids are 5 and 6 now and my parents have got a 3 door car, and it's STILL a real pain trying to get everyone in the car!  The amount of times I bang my head on the door frame doesn't bear thinking about!

A three door car will never be sitting in my driveway for sure!  It is a big pain and hard on your back.  I owned a 3 door car for a few months when my first one was young, it's totally not worth it.
