My 2.5 yr old son appears to want to learn how to eat with chopsticks.  Every time we eat with them, he also tries (creating a wonderful mess).  I have tried to show him how to hold them, but it is difficult at that age, given his limited fine motor skills.
We are a Western family and so don't eat with chopsticks every day (if we did, I am sure he would pick it up naturally).  A former colleague of mine in HK once showed me a set of trainer chopsticks (joined together and which allowed flexible movement in and out) which she gave her son to learn how to eat with chopsticks.  Does anyone know where I might find them in Singapore?

If you really struggle to find some, post again with contact details - I have a couple of sets the in-laws bought us as a joke before we came out here, and you are very welcome to them.  I could even post them to you.

I bought my son a set of trainer chopsticks in popular bookstore.  The set comes with a pair of yellow chopsticks and a biege attachment, a yellow and blue fish pencil erasers to practice on.  Hope you find it.  It is a Japanese product I think.
