I agree that what happened is horrific.

However, if you were sitting on that train next to the woman and 6 thugs armed with knives attacked her, what are the chances that you could fight them all off of her w/o getting yourself killed?  Maybe if you were a navy seal, or if you had 2-3 of your mates there to back you up.

It is very hard to judge those other passengers w/o knowing the situation; how many other passengers, how many other women and young children, etc.

whilst i agree that it is shocking, c'mon this is really nothing is comparison to what is happening elsewhere in the world.  At least she wasnt raped, her baby was OK and she is alive!

ya compared to other things happening sure it's minor - but it's the middle of summer, it's on a train (heaps of tourists! families!) - freaky! and you would've thought the times were a changin no?

If you think about it, the attackers are black, and Nazism are about racial purity and thinks blacks are as bad as jews. It's very illogical to have a black nazi sympathizer.

Thanks, rolling ball, I did not see that news update today. I hope it really did not happen. (But now there's the issue of a potentially nutty young mother out there who clearly must need some attention!) Still sad but in a whole different way now.

This incident, nor any for that matter is best not made in comparison to another incident.

There is ALWAYS something worse than another.  Comparisons would be endless.
