Yesterday there were v. large protests in some cities in Europe and the US. Ordinary citizens trying to let their leaders know they are against the US plan to go to war w/o giving more peaceable means more chance.
Why were there no protests or marches in Asia.? I would have thought that at least some Muslims would be interested in organizing a peaceful protest, somewhere. KL, Singapore, Jakarta, Manila, Tokyo, etc. Islam is a religion of peace isn't it? Seems like many Muslims in this region are quick to vilify the US, but not so quick to have a peaceful protest. I don't mean to point the finger at Muslims, but I would have thought they would have a strong interest in joining the rest of the world in speaking out against war. Especially since if America does start a war, it will be called a war against Islam (instead of a war against terrorism, which the American people are being told it is). Actually it will be a war started by old men and their lackeys who just want to finish something they started ten years ago because they can and because they are bullies.
