I really think we had enough postings about this muslim, palestine, israel, usa thing. I can not hear it anymore, and i dont want to read it anymore.I'm not intrested in this  anyway. So here is something else. A question about youre life. What are you working for, what are you living for. What are your targets ? For me , I think I just enjoy life in Singapore at the moment ...that is it . No saving for my retiremet as i don't know if I'm getting old enough to reach it , no saving for a house or an appartement as i have no kids and when I die , the fortune will go to the government or who ever. Is this wrong Huh

There should be more to life than self-gratification.

no, nothing wrong with what you want as long as you can see the whole pic. but i don't agree with leaving your finances to chance. lamenting about life and lack of life goals/women/men/world issues etc is really more bearable when you can whine about them in nice restaurants. my most enjoyable period of self-reflection and angst-solving have been days spent in a spa resort, followed by intense retail therapy.

are you asking us for longterm/short term goals? i do have two very specific goals for this week:

1)to determine which gin is better. gordon's or bombay sapphire. intensive research is needed and if they taste different should I merge different amount of tonic water or others.

2) start looking for copies of the Benny Hill shows (where are they??!!).

all part of my longterm "selective degenerative" program.

Oh, good, antoine isn't here!!

What am I looking for? The next beer!!

I hear about too many people worried about this that and the other, but I always try to live my life simply:

1: Be happy. When I'm happy, I can help other people be happy. I know I've made a few people happy, even if only for short moments, and that increases my state of happiness!

2: Work to live, not live to work. Though I like my job, it is not the be all and end all of my life. I like to scuba dive, play rugby, socialise with mates, chat up girls etc. These things will not come second to my job.

3: Enjoy the job. You spend at least 8 hours a day, 5 days a week in your job. If you don't like it, get one that youy do! OK, I know I work to live, but I also enjoy the job I'm doing. If I won enough money to live comfortably but still had to work, I hope I could continue this sort of job....maybe somewhere else, but this sort of job.

So what am I working for? To continue with the above. I do save for the future, that will help me continue the thing I want to do if and when I get older. It will allow me to settle myself if I so desire, or go to the next Lions tour.

I'll leave any substatial sum to charity if I can, and hopefully the government will not get that much of it (as I already pay them enough...well,  a lot less here, but it's the principle!)

Is someone wrong for not doing this? No! Do what makes you feel good. (Just don't come running when you've p!$$ed it up the wall!!)

"Peace" (couldn't resist!!)
