Another topic that's interesting to discuss is about accountability of decisions by the CEO in corporation and head of government. Don't you realize that there's no real accountability in either entities for bad decisions.

In both, there are actually no negative incentives (Decentive?) for the top guys (CEs for companies and President/prime minister and even your Representatives for democratic govt). If they make bad decisions, all they get is fired while already collecting huge amounts of money or set with retirement while the companies /countries sometimes were left in tatters and their employee's/people future in question.
Any ideas on how to solve this issue so they won't be taking unnecessary risk?

If you want to hire someone you want him to have all these 3 qualities: Smart, Motivated and Ethical. If he lacks ethics, you really don't want him to be smart and motivated.

I believe that the CEO of China Aviation Oil has people queing up to sue him. Also the CEO of Enron got in a load of do-do for what he did for that company.

Corporate governance discussions are an academic parlour game.

Its about power and if you lack power,
'rules' - even rules meant to make executives accountable - will be twisted and misused by those in power to destroy you.

-- In fact, its even easier for a business executive to monkey around with rules than it is for a sharp lawyer to make a donkey of the law. If you really want to control an executive's actions, use your money to buy a lawyer or a gun
