Okay, here's one for you. Hopefully I will get lots of differing opinions.

I'm doing an anthropology assignment and the question is:

"Do you think reconciliation will ever heal South Africa's racial wounds?"

Any South Africans out there? Or people who are for or against the TRC (Truth and Reconciliation Commission)?

Thanks in advance

For the definitive answer to this question, read " Animal Farm" by George Orwell.
In the past we had a white minority government, and one party rule since 1948. The whites were advantaged.
Since Democracy, we have had rule by a black oligarchy. It will be effective 1 party rule for the forseeable future.
A small minority of blacks have become rich.
The vast majority are no better off than before.
Any criticism by a melanin disadvantaged person is labeled " Racist".
Criticism by people whose skin is not white is labeled " Unpatriotic"
This is so like what happened under Apartheid that it would be funny if it were not tragic.

Read this it may give you an insight from one researcher's point of view of  the last ten years and what it has done for and to South Africa.
