Which way is Australia Heading? Everytime a muslim terrorist attacks they jump up with anger and frustration over the barbarism of these people. Agree these are not very civilised acts in today's world. But where is the self-proclaimed civilised world heading? The Australians will find a 1000 and one reasons to justify their stance. Why not see what position others are in too. It doesn't hurt to be a bit considerate of other countries policies and laws. I was a firm believer in the Australian way of life. From my perspective it was very rich and peaceful. Then why are these incidents popping up now. I hope this is a one time thing and it doesn't blow out of proportions. Many Asians love Australia as much as many Australians love Asia.

It appears to be a hoax, not real terrorism, but does raise an ugly spectre.

All around the world, terrorists wage unconvential war against 'the west' (mainly).

The few 'western' terror cells (Basque seperatists, IRA etc) usually provide warnings.

If some citizens in the western world decide to adopt muslim extremist tatics - one shudders to think of the consequences.

A government with superior military techonology + active domestic terror networks against another culture = game over.

The clash of the civilizations just got a whole lot scarier! let's hope they catch the loony and jail them for a little more than the bali bombers got!
