quote:
US President George W Bush and Vice-President Dick Cheney are to appear before the commission investigating the 11 September attacks later on Thursday.

Mr Bush and Mr Cheney will not be under oath, and no recording will be made at the private meeting in the White House.

"I look forward to giving the commissioners a chance to question both of us," said President 'you'll-get-my-lying-ass-under-oath-when-the-goddam-iraqi-desert-freezes-over' Bush.

Read this article.

I find it really hillarious.

"If we had something to hide, we wouldn't have met with them in the first place..."
If the bush & cheney wouldn't have met with them, then everyone would've think that they have something to hide, which would be much worse.

"Bush said it was important for him and Cheney to appear together so that commission members could 'see our body language... how we work together.' "
yep... how they 'work together...' get it? wink...wink... nudge...nudge...

Anyway, the commission is ".. is chartered to prepare a full and complete account of the circumstances surrounding the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks..." I don't think how well the Pres and it's VP work together is relevant. If they work well together, the general public would see it in their actions, especially when someone doesn't work well with bush. If they have nothing to hide, they shouldn't mind talking to the commission alone should they?

If they have nothing to hide, they shouldn't mind getting recorded, especially since they weren't under oath. Plus the final report from the commission will have to go through the white house anyway, so why worry about it?

And who Cheney works on behalf of:-

The joke here is that the Clinton Presidency was dogged with a Independent Council over the burning question of "did someone suck his dick during work hours".

In this case we have an Administration accused of being asleep at the wheel -- or worse, plotting a war with Iraq -- while 3000 Americans were murdered... and the so-called President is too culpable and incompetent to even be interviewed alone...

A naughty BJ, vs 3000 dead from the President's incompetence...

I mean, come on...

Cheney has apparently being secluded and preparing meticulously  for this meeting.

Aides are concerned that if Bush is forced to answer with words that start with the letters B or P, you can still Cheneys lips move, especially when he gets tired.

The Democratic co chair has already admitted that "just for a laugh" they're going to ask Bush a quick question whenever Cheney is drinking his glass of water just to see what happens.

Such days of high farce not seen since the demise of Vaudeville!

Roll on November, and everyone remember to cross all your bits, throw salt over your shoulder and get the chickens ready for slaughter, to bring luck to Kerry!
