Vice President Cheney is a resourceful man we saw that in the way he advised Halliburton how to pad bills during the time he led them – they are still doing so today.

Now there is the small matter of his dealings with Enron, Cheney’s appeal over the revelation of documents showing exactly what those dealings were is being heard by Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia. Now take a guess which two characters went duck hunting together a couple of weeks before the case is due to be heard; you guessed it Cheney and Scalia. Cheney made the invite and they flew off together on a small jet designated as Airforce 2 i.e. at Public Expense to one of Cheney’s Oil buddies hunting grounds.

The two also had dinner together with Rumsfeld a few weeks ago. Of course it would be wrong of me to suggest Cheney is trying to affect the outcome of the hearing. I am sure Cheney will put forward legislation to ensure any American up before the Supreme Court is given the chance to fly off on a recreational weekend with the judge hearing their case at the Public’s expense. That should cut the conviction rate fairly sharply. I bet Bush and Blair have learnt something to use in the upcoming hearings from this move by Cheney!

PhilM,

I am sure Publius and Bruno definitely have logical explanations for this and when they reply, you will learn how this practice promotes equality, freedom and democracy. I think they must be travelling and cannot reply yet.

But what about Imagine? He must have an even better explanation?

You goddam pinkos are all the same. Cheney is a true patriot. He made money, he made war, he made a war that made money. You can't get more goddam patriotic than that. Goddam pinko.

Cheney isn't personally involved in the suit, contrary to what you infer. It's the government's energy task force and the court's decision would likely have little effect on Cheney himself.

Even so, the trip gives the appearance of conflict and Scalia was probably unwise to go.

Bruno -From everything I have read Cheney is up to his neck in it and is trying to stop the fertiliser rising above his head!

You're assuming, of course, that Cheney is not *guilty* of something!

"It's OK for him to spend taxpayers money on a little holiday for the Judge, because he's probably innocent."

It's he's so fricking innocent, why's he wasting taxpayer's money flying a goddam judge around? He better be guilty as *sh!t* spending that kind of cash.
