While searching around for some stories to tell my 3 yr old and chanced upon this one which I studied in school when I was a little kid.

The Wolf and the Lamb

Wolf, meeting with a Lamb astray from the fold, resolved not to lay violent hands on him, but to find some plea to justify to the Lamb the Wolf's right to eat him. He thus addressed him: "Sirrah, last year you grossly insulted me." "Indeed," bleated the Lamb in a mournful tone of voice, "I was not then born." Then said the Wolf, "You feed in my pasture." "No, good sir," replied the Lamb, "I have not yet tasted grass." Again said the Wolf, "You drink of my well." "No," exclaimed the Lamb, "I never yet drank water, for as yet my mother's milk is both food and drink to me." Upon which the Wolf seized him and ate him up, saying, "Well! I won't remain supperless, even though you refute every one of my imputations." The tyrant will always find a pretext for his tyranny.

Antoine,
I have flirted with the idea that perhaps America should entirely withdraw its forces from the international stage and
(to use my phrase) 'let the world go to hell'

Of course, that's just my interpretation of what would happen if America suddenly turned its back on the world.

What do you believe would happen if America went home and stayed in its own box?

That would be too easy a let off...
They need a lesson...

Every country should now do to America what they have done to them...even it up and then forgive them...

Their hands and hearts are too bloody with the life of "innocents"...that is what you call them when they resist America, but when America attacks them, and steal their resources, they are expendable, and inhuman, and evil.

Every empire has risen and fell....America is not even an Empire, and not a good aspirant to one by any stretch of the imagination...

It has had its day...the Iraqi campaign is its waterloo...
See how it is racing to Iraq...it cannot even stop itself...It is racing to it destiny....
I hope to be around...I may even see some in a dock somehere.... .

Oh and on your question about US and a 'box', your  world would be a better place, without (this kind of) America.
completely...It should be an everlastingly constricting box.

I have called your bluff...

Peace
