all the wet markets sell them.  Depending on where you live, they are all over the island.

Tekka, Ghim Moh, Redhill, usually near large hawker centres in heartland.

Have seen wet markets selling prawns but not in tanks or Life ones though.
Only seen them in Chinese restaurants.

It is not easy to get live prawns.  I do almost all my shopping at wetmarkets and certainly neither china town or tekka market sell them.

I did find a place this week though that has them.

It is a small fish shop located on th ecorner of clementi road and pasir panjang road in the west of the island.  Beware the prices are a lot more expensive.

For live tiger prawns, the asking price is $25/kilo.  For the same size dead prawn at Tekka market you will pay approx $14/kilo.

The time to visit this shop is late morning as the ships with livve seafood arrive at a different time to the normal fishing boats that arrive in the middle of the night.

FYI, this place also has live fish for sale and live flower crabs.  the also have live grouper and catfish as well as clams and scallops.

Well worth a visit in my opinion just to get truly fresh live seafood.

Sorry, not sure if that is correct spelling but Sheng Shiong at Taman Jurong definitely sell live prawns swimming in tanks.

Giant IMM and Parkway Parade (not sure about Suntec City) have huge tanks with medium-large sized tiger prawns. Usual prices are around $19.90 per kilogram, discounted, they cost $17.90. (You will need to keep a lookout for not quite live prawns, if you are particular about freshness)

Only 2 places that i know of so far. Have also heard of a particular pier off pasir panjang with more live seafood varieties, but have never been.

Think they had some live prawns performing at Crazy Horse recently as the opening act but as you can guess, the show was closed down. it was touted as a cholesterol issue but many believe that it had something to do with the live prawns not being too friendly, most of them refused to come out of their shells.

We've used this place for 20 years.

Good stuff too but a bit pricey.

In the old days there used to be a good place close to Coronation Plaza but that's long gone now of course.
