Did this one for recent dinner party and it went down really well.  Very simple.  Might be worth trying.

Three cheese & pear lasagne.

For cheese sauce: mix 300-400 gms marscepone cheese with 100 mls of milk until smooth.  Add salt & pepper to taste (but not too salty, as other cheeses are salty already).

Grate around 100 gms of parmesan (ideally the real stuff:  regiano parmegiana).

Chop up 200gms of good quality gorgonzola.

Thinly slice 2-3 pears (can leave skin on and slice so as to keep "pear" shape to the slices).

Chops up handful of parsley.

Using good quality instant lasagne sheets, layer in a baking dish (around 20 cms x 20 cms) as follows:

1.  lasagne sheets brushed with melted butter.
2.  marscepone mixture
3.  parsley
4.  gorgonzola pieces (evenly spaced)
5. parmesan
6. slices of pear

Repeat and then on the top put a layer of the pasta sheets  (brushed with melted butter) and parmesan.  Place 4* slices of pear on top (so that each slice of lasagne once cooked will be served topped with a slice of pear).

Bake in preheated over (190-200 degrees celcius) for around 30 minutes (but don't let top layer burn).

*  Note I served as a starter with a rocket, toasted walnut and shaved parmesan salad with quince dressing, so it made up 6 slices - and I therefore included 6 slices of pears.

It takes about 10 minutes to prepare (including grating the cheese) and can be prepared in advance (so you can have a drink with your guests while the meal is cooking).

Bon appetito!
