Do you mean the soy, vinegar, garlic and ginger sauce popular in the Philippines as a legacy of the Spanish? In which case those are the only ingredients so you might as well make your own. I've never seen it here ready mixed.

Maggi makes an adobo powder but the above poster has it right.  Adobo is dead nuts simple to make and oh, so yummy!

hey i'm good in cooking adobo ...

you better go to lucky plaze and get your soy sauce and vinegar there. The brand is "Silver Swan" and your vinegar too "Datung Puti" or just visit any Filipino store. And tell them you want to cook "adobo"

Checked my can of "Chipotle Peppers in Adobo Sauce"  (Mexican Brand) for you....

Ingredients beside the Peppers are...

Tomato Puree
Water
Vegetable Oil
Flour
Salt
Vinegar
Onion Powder
Garlic Powder
and Spices

but sorry, no Soya Sauce. Seems to be different from the Phillipin Version of Adobo....

Mexican adobo is different.  We make our houses from adobo.  Or is that adobe?  I always get that mixed up.  No wonder dinner tasted like mud...

thanks for your replies.  i just checked wikipedia, and filipino adobo is different from the mexican/latin american adobo sauce.  i was hoping to just buy a jar of the sauce, but it looks like i'll have to try making it from scratch.  does anybody know where to find ancho chile peppers and/or chipotle peppers for the sauce?
