does anyone know where you can get those pizza pans which have small holes all over the bottom to help the crust cook?  Do they actually work?  I have a pizza pan but with no holes and the base is always less well cooked than the top.  i've even started cooking the base for a few minutes first before putting the toppings on, but it still ends up soggy.

Maybe I'm making it too thin - has anyone got any pizza tips?  thanks

I have never used one of those pans with holes in it and my pizza is never soggy.  Do you have a good oven?  Sometimes it could be due to that, the oven not being hot enough.

I found one of those 'holey' pizza pans at Phoon Huat (I live near the one on Bencoolen st.) and it was under $10......  for recipes I found one of those mini-cook books at Times (Periplus or something) that has a lot of nice recipes.

thanks pizza express, I'll go and have a look.

But from what tesi says, it could be my oven because it is a terrible oven to cook in.

thanks for the info/tips though.

Bought mine at Giant.  Works o.k. though not as good as a pizza stone.

get an oven thermometer - invaluable.  A stone will give crispiest base.  Spotlight sometimes have or try cookery shop in chip bee gardens HV.

Bought mine at Pantry Magic at Chip Bee Gardens near Holland Village.  They have great kitchen stuff there and surprisingly affordable prices considering all the frills.
