Anyone has ideas of where to go for a short weekend trip? Looking for a nice and quiet beach resort, not more than 3 hrs away and not too expensive.
Ideas? Suggestions? recomendations?

Ehm,

I don't think there are beaches in Chiang Mai... it's located in the middle of Thailand and although I've never been there before, I believe there's no beach nearby.

Black Beauty - friends just came back from Kph Samui island off East coast of Thailand. Sadi they had a great time. Flights cost them $390 and they stayed at Coconut Villa for about $10 a night! Accomodation was fine, food and drink very cheap.
