Are you fixed to Chaweng? There are very nice bungalows at Mae Nam (North cost). Pretty cheap (< 20 Sing$). But nearly no night life...

Just came back from there few weeks ago.  We stayed at the Chaweng Blue Lagoon.  Very central....great pool/beach...but I love the service most.

Stayed at Chaweng Cove, not bad, quite close to the central area (nightlife).

Another excellent place is Corto Maltese, North part of Chaweng beach, so a little far from the central area, but really great place and service...

Enjoy

Thank you for all the suggestion, it's been helpful. I have booked a Superior bungalow at Chaweng Resort after consideration. Hope it's a right choice...

Anyone stayed there before?
Thanks

Try the Tradewinds or Poppy's.  Poppy's is expensive but nice and Tradewinds is two doors down on Chaewang but is considerably less expensive but it has individual bungalows and nice restaurant etc.
Beautiful place.  Enjoy.  Ask for John Stall (proprietor; Capn Squall) and tell him ABB sent you :-)

We stayed at Chaweng resort with Superior Bungalow a few weeks ago.  We liked it - very convenient to main street of Chaweng.  Main bedroom was good - ensuite bathroom pretty ordinary.  Breakfasts were good.  Best restaurant was Poppies - expensive for Chaweng but worth a visit.  cafe across the road from the Chaweng resort very reasonable and nice food if you like Thai.
