riverside marriott hotel in Bangkok

Any feedback regarding this riverside hotel?  We have an 18 month old and so the "lush gardens"  sounded godd for walks.

I stayed there, oh, a good decade ago, on a freebie and it was great.

I recall taking a river taxi from there to the airport for the first time (it was before Bangkok's traffic problems were "sorted").

not sure about the lush gardens for walks...i was there 3 years ago.  i don't remember much of a garden i think they just mean the landscaping is very green and pretty which it is.  great pool - although i do remember rescuing a toddler from the jacuzzi as her parents had left her.   great hotel though and you just get river boats up to mrt stations which i'm sure your little one will love

The Riverside Marriot is fantastic!  I stayed there 2 years ago at the start of my trip, and cancelled the hotel I was going to stay at, at the ens of my trip just to stay there again.

The grounds are beautiful, the pool is wonderful, there is an evening music/dance performance that I went to twice, breakfast buffet is incredible and if you get a room with water view, you can observe daily life on the water.  (The spa is too expensive - get your massages on other parts of your trip)

It is not as central as a town hotel, but water taxi's are easy, and I wouldn't trade the ambiance for anything!  Book it!
