Going to JB this Tuesday. Can anyone recommend any shops/shopping centres (or ones to avoid)?? Looking for household/decorative items/food rather than clothing. Thanks for any input!

One place that I was impressed with was that new shoping center opposite the train station (not the big grey ugly building but the next one along traveling away from customs) .
It did have a food store , but when in JB don't expect anything on par with singapore .

Decortaion forget about it , singapore is the best place, all the interior designers I know in JB actualy come over to singapore to source bits and bobs . Most things in JB can be 'tacky' . I go to ikea .

Hi P

Try the Giant megastore. It's abt 4km down the road that's opposite the Carrefore store which is on the road east towards Desaru. Lots of everything. Free parking too. Have a nice time. Course, u can get everything in Sg, but shopping in JB's quite an enjoyable experience. Cheers.
