Can anyone recommend a travel agent to customise a trip to Myanmar. The packages out there all include Mandalay. I would like to go to Inle Lake and Bagan.
Thanks

There is a company that a friend had used in the past. You'll have to research yourself, but they have a website. I believe that they are called Myanmar Travel Ltd. Pretty oringal name, eh? If you find anything out there... let the rest of us know! Would love to go there someday soon!

Myanmar is a safe country to travel on your own. I was in Yangon, took an uncomfortable overnight bus up to Bagan, shared a cab with a fellow traveller across to Ingle Lake and flew back to Yangon. From Bagan, you can travel by boat/ferry to Manadalay. Getting around locally  is no problem. The people are simply awesome and they went out of their way to help me, unlike in other Indochina countries where they expect handoutss. And the wats, especially in Bagan, out of this world. I had an amazing time there. It's highly recommended.

Agree with Ms Backpacker. You can also fly easily from Yangon to Bagan. There is also probably flights between Inle Lake and for example Yangon. Check "Air Mandalay" from the web - we did that.
