My husband and I will be spending 3 days in Hong Kong staying on HK Island.  We will do the suggested Victoria Peak and Stanley Market but am wondering what else is a must.

1. A ride on the Star Ferry to Tsim Sha Tsui and back. (this must be the number 1 thing to do in HK)

2. A trip to one of the outlying islands.

3. Visit one of the many street markets in Mongkok.

4. If you're reasonably fit, and the weather is good, hike one of the many trails.

5. Dim Sum for breakfast.

Lanna Island for the seafood at Rainbow restaurant. Food is ok but ferry trip is great. Go to the ferry terminal at the end of Salisbury Road (Kowloon side). Next to it is a clock tower. In front of that is a lady standing on the waterfront with a poster. The ferry to the restaurant is free.

Ladies Market in the evening, four blocks and lots of stuff (Tung Choi Street?) near to Kwong Wah Hospital, Kowloon side. Short walk from Mongkok MTR.

Shopping in Tsim Sha Tsui area (Cameron Road), Kowloon side. Exit from Tsim Sha Tsui. There are signs on the concourse with the names of destinations and the exit letter to take.

Stanley market is ok, more like the Sunday market in the Rocks, Sydney, Australia. Depending upon the bus driver, the trip there can get pretty freaky, you will understand.

Went to HK last week for the first time and loved it.

You MUST have the roast goose at Yung Kee around the corner from Lan Kwai Fong in central.....if you tell the cab driver Yung Kee he will know where to go.

One of Fortune magazines top 15 restaurants in the world.
