Stayed at Berjaya Resort some years back. Timber chalet in clusters. Well maintained and clean, mod cons. Short flight ex Seletar Airport where u can park yr car (foc then). There's a good full 18 golf course, buggies available. Have a pleasant time.

Sorry, Patty, didnt come back here some time. Sorry too cant remember airline. Arranged by the travel agency. It was a cutejet prop I think with 2 seats each side of central aisle. Capacity about 20 pax. Pressurised cabin of course. Very safe, no worries.

Berjaya Beach is relatively up market. Salang Indah has cabins right on the beach, but is not very well maintained. Its great access for diving tho. Maybe a couple of nights in rustic Salang Indah and then a bit of relative luxury at Berjaya beach with its manicured golf courses and jet skiis!
Thats what we did!

The airline was Pelangi (sp?) Air, but according to their website, they no longer have a Seletar - Tioman service. Does anyone know if there is another airline?

As far as I know, Pelangi Air lost their license. Don't know who else (if anyone) flys there. We took the ferry - approx 5 hours, but not too rough as long as the weather is good. I know that the ferry closes down over the monsoon season though. Also wouldn't recommend the Berjaya resort as it didn't look very nice, although we didn't stay there. Would recommend Salang Indah, as long as you like to rough it a bit. Stayed at Zikes huts (I think that was the name) and it was great - basic but clean, step out straight onto the beach, very friendly staff. Can't wait to go back! Also, if you do go for any length of time, be sure to take a couple of bottles of wine, or whatever tickles your fancy, as only a few places will serve alcohol, and usually only beer.
