Am going to Bangkok for a long weekend in a few weeks and was planning on taking a day trip to the Sriracha Tiger Farm (about 80kms outside BGK?)

Has anyone been? If so, general comments, suggestions on how to get there/ back, hints tips etc are welcome.

Thanks

PLease don't go.   Its exploitation of the very worst kind.
My first visit there was in 92 when it was quite a quaint rich man's hobby.  Maybe 20 tigers in quite good condition in a very rural atmosphere.
Went back 3 years ago and was horrified.  Owner has cottoned on to the fact that it is a big tourist attraction.  Now they have over 200 tigers and the conditions are like a zoo from the 50's all concrete, no shade and very dsitrubed tigers.
I found it very distressing.  I adore tigers and enjoy seeing them in a good zoo like SGP but Sriracha was a nightmare.

We have just moved to Bangkok and I took the children there about a month ago.  I will not be going back.  Agree with what the above person said.  There are loads of animals there apart from tigers.  They are extremely proud of their pig that feeds both piglets and baby tigers.  All I could see was a poor pig drugged up to the eyeballs with a drip thing in its back.  I also can't stand animal shows where chimps and orangutans are dressed up as children and made to do things that really do not come naturally to them.

The park is located on the main expressway from Bangkok to Pattaya and was well signposted.

ok, didn't realise this was the case.  Thanks a lot for tips.  All I had heard was that it was the most successful captivebreeding program in the world, and therefore assumed that it would hold some level of merit.

Cheers
