I know there was a post awhile back about camping gear, but I'm looking for hiking pants for women...the kind that are light-weight and can be converted to shorts.  Need them fast so can't order online.  Does anyone know where I can buy these pants?  Thanks.

Hey Gal, try the Army market located at Beach Road opposite Golden Mile Complex. They had all your treking needs and prices are very reasonably cheap.

Have Fun~~

Agree with Husqvarna. You should check out the army market first, but they're quite limited. There's another two shops that I used to go to. Camper's corner near city hall MRT, on one of those shops close to the bus stop off the old capitol cinema. There's another outdoor shop in peninsular plaza. These places can be real pricey.

Thanks to both of you.  I'll try these suggestions. I went to Timberland last night and they had the hiking pants but only for men.

New York City girl, are you training for the Singapore marathon? I've seen few messages posted by you about running. My husband & I are training for the Singapore marathon. I'm looking for running buddies who's training for the marathon to finish around 4 hrs.

Interested?  reply tharp@pacific.net.sg
