Bangkok on a Monday

I am trying to organise a mostly shopping weekend getaway to Bangkok but am unable to go on a Friday. Does anyone have any advice as to whether a Sat - Monday weekend in Bangkok would be detrimentally different to a Friday - Sunday weekend?

I think no difference in terms of shopping centres, bars restaurants etc.  However think that Chatuchak market  is still only wk ends only - maybe someone else can confirm.

I don't think it will matter....chatachuk is where you really need to head to do serious shopping - and that is open saturday and sunday - it is best to get there early coz it gets busier as the day goes on.

Chatachak is open Fridays, but only partially.  Sat and Sun are the best days - everything is open.
