Any thoughts on the Equatorial Hotel or the Renaissance Hotel in Malacca?

Have stayed in both hotels.....both quite nice.  Food is also good in both.    The Peranakan restaurant in the Equatorial Hotel is the best Peranakan dining experience we've yet found (including in Singers).    It is worth a visit, no matter which hotel you decide to stay in.
