As far as I can make out there IS NO IT Market in Singapore.
Ive been looking for an IT job (L otus Note s if anyone out there is offering....) for several months now, and had no luck.
.
Actually there still seem to be jobs, but mostly only for locals as there are now a lot of ppl competing for less jobs, and nobody is interested in getting an employee an EP when they could choose a local instead. Furthermore, the pay would seem to have gone done by about 30% over the last few months. (Dropped more than many other sectors.)
.
Its very much a buyers market at the moment, and things look like they will get worse before they get better. :-(

The IT market is a curious fish over in singapore ... i was out there for 7 months working ... (following the other half as she went home) and the work is "limited" and they want you do do EVERYTHING for next to nothing ... at least compaired to european or US rates.  I found that most employers were Outsourcing companies who service all the satelite branches of MNC's too small to bother with a true in house setup.  All i can say is have every single bit of qualification you have on paper when you arive.  Look in places like Straits Times on line, and apply for as many as possible, get the numbers and contact them as soon as you arrive in Sg.  Dont expect great money, Dont expect a normal job ... and definitely expect to be doing EVERYTHING that they can think of... and good luck .. (also watch out for the small companies pretending to be big players .. they are hard to spot sometimes.... )
