Looking for advice from the management consultants.

I'm an Account Manager for an IT MNC - specialising in HW and SW solutions. Have been in the IT industry for 10 years, with EMBA from Australia. Currently on a $220K+ SGD local package. I'm looking for a change in the industry to management consulting.

What's a typical salary range for someone with 10 years experience to enter management consulting industry in Singapore? I saw some ads from the Big4s with the term "associate". Is this a mid level position?

Associate is sometimes as low as entry level, other times 2 years experience.

At my previous firm in the states someone with 10 years experience would expect Principle or Senior Principle depending on where you had worked.

No idea on salary. Best of luck!

I've worked for a couple of consultancies (not big 5), where the term associate meant the consultant was not actually an employee of the consulting company, but was in effect a contractor, who could be called in either when other resources were stretched, or when a specialised skill was not availalble in-house.

Generally in "Big 5" consulting, the grade levels are as below:

Analyst / Consultant (garduate level)
Senior Consultant
Manager
Senior Manager
Director / Associate Partner
Vice President / Partner

With 10 years of experience, you would want to start from at least Senior Manager in my opinion.
