Hi, I would appreciate any advice on the offer I have been given for work in Singapore.

Base salary: S$120K per year
Allowance: S$48K per year

I am in the HR field and have 12 years of experience.  I have two children who will be starting school soon (I was shocked to read some of the other messages which quoted the high cost of education in Singapore).

Is this offer in the right range?
Any suggestions for what else I should consider in my salary negotiations?

Thank you for your time.

Suggest you provide a breakdown of what is covered in the $48k

People will then tell you if too low high given your profession and family circumstance.

Schooling and rent is expensive and little things like bond/school deposit and others are easily forgotten...

You can survive on that salary...

Thanks for the reply.  The allowance was stated like that, with no breakdown.  I assume that it refers to housing allowance.  But, I shall follow-up on  that.
