I went feb this year to Sg to find a job and fortunately i immediately find a job but was rejected by the MOM, my employer said it was because they dont have enough quota for foreign hire. I fund another job for the second time but got another rejection from the MOM with no specified reason but my employer assured that it is not because of lack of quota. the same thing happened to my 3rd and 4th employer. I wanted to know if there is still a chance for me to find a job in sg and have my pass approve maybe by next year 2012? Is there any other options that i could take to get a job at sg?

most get rejected because they have attitude problems, some manifest during interviews.

they can sense u are dodgy just with an interview

When do you have an interview for the employment pass  - I just turn up with my agent - do not even speak except to say thank you and that is it.

Come to think of it I was not interviewed for the job in Singapore either - they just gave it to me on reputation and referral.

Yes it's true.

What is your monthly salary?

What do you do?

Are you Indian?

My suggestion is that you look for a job as a dentist in India.

The government likes to maintain racial quotas. Right now they're over the historical quota for Indians, so unless you're exceptional they're turning them down.

The government will look at your profile and see you as a fresh college grad applying for an entry level position at $3k/month.  That's a Q pass I think?  Not good enough, there are plenty of local Singaporeans with the same paper credentials as you who can take the job.

Unfortunately your training as a dentist in India means nothing in Singapore, especially since you're not even looking into dentistry.

your qualification are way out of sync with your job, definite rejection imo. government is seriously cracking down on this. be prepared to go back to india

In such a case, MOM looks at salary.  If the generic sounding poistion "marketing analyst" requires highly specialized experience only you have, MOM looks at how much you're being paid to gauge that.  You would need at least enough for a P2 for MOM to even consider it.  Any lower passes aren't considered "professional" really.

Your best chance of an appeal is to get a higher salary, and have your company HR go down to MOM and appeal in person, explaining the required experience. Even that is 50/50 max.
